MLK Day-2018!

The CLF has been honored to participate in the Westside's Coalition's Annual MLK Day Presentation and Community Fair for over a decade. This year, we once again brought some families from our Vita Network, and enjoyed incredible speeches and performances from local politicians at SGI-USA World Peace Ikeda Auditorium in Santa Monica, and one very special guest, former Olympic sprinter and champion Tommie Smith (one of the athletes who raised the black-power raised fist salute at the 1968 Olympics). The theme for this year was "Stand Against Injustice." It felt very right to be in the auditorium with such passionate, caring community members, and we were proud to be there with them. :)
